Artwork Review

Free Feasibility Assessment Before You Commit

Before any sample cost is confirmed, our technical team reviews your artwork across five key dimensions. You receive a clear written assessment -- no guesswork, no surprise charges.

Structure Analysis

We evaluate how the character's 3D form can be translated into plush construction -- body joints, limb attachments, and internal support.

Proportion & Scale

We flag any proportion challenges (oversized heads, tiny details, unusual aspect ratios) and suggest the optimal finished size for accuracy.

Material Recommendation

We recommend the best fabric type, pile length, and embroidery approach to match your color palette and tactile requirements.

Cost Estimate

A transparent indicative sample fee and unit cost range based on complexity, size, and material selection -- before you commit to anything.

Production Difficulty Rating

We rate complexity (Standard / Advanced / Complex) so you understand lead time, revision expectations, and any technical constraints upfront.

Sample Revision

Every Detail Is a Revision Point

We document your feedback in a structured revision log so nothing is missed. These are the five key areas where most refinements happen.

Expression

Eye shape, pupil placement, mouth curve, brow angle -- embroidery or printed face adjustments until the character "feels right."

  • Eye size & spacing
  • Mouth curve & color
  • Nose position

Head-to-body ratio, limb length, ear size -- we recut and restuff until the silhouette matches your character guide.

  • Head-to-body ratio
  • Limb length & thickness
  • Overall stuffing density

Color

Fabric dye lots and embroidery thread colors matched to your Pantone or brand hex references with physical swatch confirmation.

  • Pantone / hex matching
  • Fabric dye consistency
  • Thread color accuracy

FAQ

Sample Fee, Revision Rounds & Timelines

Answers to the questions our B2B clients ask most before starting a sample development project.

How much does a custom plush sample cost?
Sample fees typically range from USD $80-$250 depending on the character's complexity, size, and material requirements. Simple designs with standard fabrics sit at the lower end; complex characters with custom embroidery, accessories, or unusual proportions are higher. We provide a clear sample fee quote during the free feasibility assessment -- no surprises. Sample fees are fully deductible from your bulk production order.
How many revision rounds are included?
Every sample project includes up to 3 revision rounds within the sample fee. Each round covers all feedback points you submit -- expression, proportion, color, material, and accessories. Most clients achieve an approved sample within 2 rounds. If additional rounds are needed beyond 3, a small incremental fee applies, which we communicate transparently before proceeding.
How long does sample development take?
Our standard sample lead time is 10-15 business days from artwork confirmation to first physical sample dispatch. Each revision round adds approximately 5-7 business days. Expedited sampling (7-day first sample) is available for standard complexity designs -- ask us during the artwork review. We send you photo updates at each stage so you're never waiting without visibility.
Do I need to send physical samples or can I share digital files?
Digital files are preferred and sufficient for most projects. We accept AI, PSD, PNG, PDF, and JPEG formats. If you have an existing physical toy you want replicated or improved, you can ship it to our factory -- we'll reverse-engineer the pattern and return the original. For IP projects, we recommend sharing a multi-angle character guide sheet with Pantone color references for the most accurate first sample.
Is my artwork and IP protected during the sample process?
Yes. We sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) before any artwork is shared with our production team. Access to your files is restricted to the pattern makers and sample team assigned to your project. We do not share, publish, or reuse your designs without written permission. For Disney FAMA and other licensed IP projects, we follow the specific brand security protocols required by the licensor.
What happens after the sample is approved?
Once you sign off on the approved sample, it becomes the locked production standard. We issue a formal bulk production quotation with final unit pricing, MOQ confirmation (from 500 pcs/design), and a production schedule. Upon deposit payment, bulk manufacturing begins. The approved sample is retained in our QC lab and used for in-line and final inspection comparison throughout production.
What is the minimum order quantity (MOQ) for bulk production?
Our MOQ starts from 500 pieces per design. For mixed-design orders (e.g., same character in multiple colors or sizes), please discuss with our team -- we can sometimes accommodate lower per-SKU quantities with a combined order minimum. There is no MOQ for the sampling stage; you can develop and approve a sample before committing to any bulk quantity.
